You’re the key! Shape the future of your Students' Union at the URSU 2023 AGM!
We ask all URSU members to attend the Annual General Meeting on March 2nd, 2023 at 5pm via Zoom. Students will need to pre-register before the meeting to participate.
If you are a registered, student union fee-paying student at the University of Regina and its Federated Colleges (except those in ESL classes) then you are an URSU member and we want to hear from you!
The URSU Annual General Meeting is coming up soon! This is your chance to review URSU's finances, ask questions of your executive team, and have a say on important governance issues. We're here to represent you!
The URSU Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be online and, as with every AGM, URSU needs to ensure that all attendees are eligible to submit a motion or vote on an existing motion. Deadline for submitting a motion for the Special Business portion of the AGM is February 10th, 2023 at 5pm CST.
We also need to verify which student groups are being represented during the meeting. To make this possible, all attendees are required to use a Zoom account and to pre-register for the event using a link that will be available once you register through UniVerse.
During the AGM, all attendees will be placed on mute as the chair and Executive Committee go through the agenda items. If you have a question, comment, or need to ask for a point of order, information, etc., we ask that you use the “Raise Hand” function in Zoom to get our attention. We will then unmute your mic and the chair will ask you to speak.
When it comes time to vote on a motion, URSU will create and share a poll in Zoom. All attendees will be given 90 seconds to submit their votes. The poll will then be closed and URSU will share the results with all attendees.
